I am an expert on relationships, couples, and I also help individuals through their journey to live fulfilling lives.

Today I invite you to join me on your personal transformation. I am often intrigued by the hidden strength that is inside of each of us and the resiliency to push through even the darkest moments. If you’ve found this page you already took a step in the right direction because you took the courage to move past fear– to change that what is not working in your life. I could take you one step closer to finding the solution that you’re searching for. Fear holds us back from all things that are possible in life, it is important to know that many people start from this point and that it is possible to grow from here.

Feeling confused or hopeless because of your situation?

I understand that sometimes life’s challenges are overwhelming. I use a holistic, collaborative, strength-based approach to support your spiritual journey to find inner peace and satisfaction. Together, we will create a balance that is right for you. Together, we will help you find your way back to expecting that change is possible. Together, we will establish goals that will be accomplished.

At ‘A Hopeful Exchange‘ we integrate your spiritual beliefs with counseling to maximize the potential for positive outcomes. What this means is that you could choose to integrate your belief system in counseling sessions, or not– the choice is yours.  This is a diversity affirmative practice embracing people of all cultural backgrounds. Please know that this is your safe space, it is a ‘no judgement zone’ where all are welcome.

Whether you need someone to talk to, or someone to support and encourage you, I will be with you every step of the way.

I look forward to supporting you through this process.

About Me

Every problem seems bigger when you are not supported listened to… or understood.

Understandably, you may have several questions regarding who I am as we will embark on a therapeutic relationship together.

Here is some information that you may find useful…

Who am I?

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida with over 21 years of experience in counseling MT#3202. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Florida in 1999.  I came to visit Florida during the holidays, went to the beach in January, then went back home to the city to pack my bags– never to return to the severe winters ever again!

How did I get into this field?

I have a passion for helping others. I recognized this purpose and calling very early in life. I serve others with great enthusiasm because of the power of transformation and the exchange we share in a therapeutic relationship. For me, it is a very powerful and fulfilling experience. I find great joy in helping others achieve their personal goals and happiness in life.

How can I help?

My educational training in the Marriage & Family Therapy doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University provided a unique opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. Not only did the program prepare me academically, training also helped me to see things from a systemic lens by being able to frame every situation by truly understanding the experience of my clients contextually. As a therapist, I try to immerse myself in your experience by trying to understand the nature of your struggles and what small steps may lead to change, with the understanding that one small shift could lead to greater change. This approach has been useful in working with children, adults, and couples. I have worked in many educational settings, community agencies, and cultural organizations.  I have also had the honor of being a member of several professional affiliations, speaking at international conferences and contributing to international publications.
